“In a time of crisis, it is more important than ever to use humour. You might think that it would not be appropriate to use humour as some of us are really impacted by the crisis. But humour can be a very powerful tool in dealing with a stressful experience and fear.
Since the beginning of the crisis a new way of comunication emerged around the world. I know that in France, the UK and in the rest of Europe, people send each others meme, some funny jokes and funny videos. Humour has became a proper medium of communication. Perhaps because it is a really an efficent way to cope with the many challenges we are facing, as well as fear and anxiety. Also, humour is a powerful way to connect with other people. If you have a funny story or an hilarious video, don’t hesitate to share it with your loved ones and with your colleagues, it is a great way to start a meeting or to reconnect with people, even if you are far away.”
Leading With Humour has created a series of fireside chat and new training initiatives to help leaders to face the crisis. If you want to know how we can humour can help you and your team, check our events and coaching programme and listen to the podcast.
